Nelson is a soon-to-be graduate of Point Loma Nazarene’s College of Art and Design in San Diego.

They grew up making art, and found a deep love of oil paint in college. They specialize in oil painting, printmaking, and finding new ways to make weird art.

They enjoy looking for beauty in the mundane, the uncomfortable, and the strange. Their work has always been extremely genuine and open, whether they are portraying loved ones, religious icons, or personal stories.

They have had several solo exhibitions, and have been included in a handful of group shows. Recently, Nelson had a solo exhibition in the spring of 2025 in San Diego. Nelson intends to keep creating art until they drop, and has high aspirations for their future.

Milla Nelson is a painter and fine artist born and raised in Southern California.
